On July 7th, CubCrafters received its Light Sport Aircraft (S-LSA) airworthiness certificate for SPORT CUB serial number CC11-0001. FAA Aviation Safety Inspector Steve Slagle, of the Seattle MIDO office, was on hand to make the presentation. CubCrafters President Jim Richmond praised the organization. “I commend the entire CubCrafters team for a job well done. I am sure our customers feel the same way. No doubt, to some we have taken more time than we might have hoped to reach this milestone, but the reality is we have intentionally taken extra steps in designing, prototyping, analyzing and testing to ensure that SPORT CUB far exceeds ASTM standards.
